Right-mix of carbs, proteins and fats are essential for best muscle building results. Most body-builders are not aware of this and tend to eat more proteins and neglect the other essential building blocks.

So what is a right mix?

The best source of protein for body-building are egg-whites. This makes an excellent source and is much better than other plant-based proteins like legumes. They have high value on the muscle building diet chart and is one of the essentials if you want to build muscle fast. It is also rich in minerals and vitamins.

For carbs include whole grains, millets, sweet potatoes or oats. A small amount of fat should also be part of the diet. Avocados, olive oil make great sources of good fat.
